Another Milestone

Awaiting the big ceremony

So serious but I assure you have is very excited!

Boys we will be boys.
6th grade graduation!  Wow, how time has flown by.  It seems like just yesterday when I brought my little guy to kindergarten! He is now ready for 7th grade and middle school.  It seems so unreal.  He is a hard worker and we are so proud of all that he has accomplished!

Awards and Recitals

6th grade class

Claire wins an award
Jazz dance rehearsal!
Things are busy around here, but we are having fun!

Graham and Claire both were excited to win awards at the school awards ceremony.

Tessa was most amused watching the jazz dance rehearsal.  She had her very own 2 year old dance version.  We are getting ready for the official 6th grade graduation tonight and dance recital this weekend.  Yay!

Profound thoughts....

"Do not think that love in order to be genuine has to be

extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.

Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your

strength lies." -Mother Teresa

First swim of the season!

Swimsuit model

Thank you Graham for blowing up all of the floats and Tessa's pool.

Sheer joy!
We got a late start this year due to the tornadoes, but none the less, we are thrilled to be back in the pool!

Ballet Recital in the making!

a girl simply needs bobby pins to be a ballerina even if they are blond

Note that little sister had to be 'dressed' in costume as well.

We have been going to rehearse several times a week for the upcoming performance of Raymonda!  Hopefully I will get some more pictures.  Have a great weekend!

A Message for our sweet friend! We miss you!

A little yogurt time.

We had a busy weekend.  Ballet recital rehearsals are in full swing. Claire is getting so excited about the performance!  I am looking forward to seeing her hard work on stage.

Greetings!

We are getting back to a new normal.  Tessa's school has moved to a different location.  She shouted 'not this place' when we pulled up today.  She doesn't do well with change.  I know this was hard for her.  She loves her 'teachers' so hopefully they will make the transition easier.
Claire has a classmate who experienced the loss of his father this week.  It was especially hard for her.  Graham is getting ready to complete elementary school as he heads to middle school.  Lots of changes are happening around here.  As we make our way through the ebb and flow of life, we are continually reminded of our blessings.  We hug our children a little harder each night and strive to remember each sweet kiss.  Parenting is not always easy but it rewards are great.

Love to all!

Post tornado

fun time at the pretend grocery

dress up as Clifford

fun with blocks
As many of you know, a major tornado blew through our town last week.  Many homes and businesses are destroyed.  Beautiful 100 year old trees are gone.  The face of our downtown will never look the same.  Our family is very blessed.  We were only inconvenienced by lack of power and internet for a few days.  We certainly can not complain.  The kids started back to school yesterday in an attempt to go back to the new 'normal'.  It was good for them to see familiar faces and be back in the safety of their school.  Claire's class went on a field trip to the McWane Center in Birmingham.  It was a well needed distraction for some deserving 3rd graders.  We thank everyone for your prayers and notes of concern.  They are very appreciated!
